Writing is part of my daily tasks. I draft, edit, and schedule posts on WINGS’ social media channels. Whether it's sector-specific jargon or policy content, I am good at transforming complex ideas into bite-sized, digestible pieces.

Through consistency, I helped WINGS’s audience size on LinkedIn grow from 1,118 followers in 2021 to 11,067 followers today.

Handling social media and communications at WINGSForum 2023

In 2023, I was one of two colleagues from WINGS’ comms team on the ground supporting the media, marketing, and communications for our flagship event, WINGSForum, in Nairobi, Kenya.

The event attracted over 300 participants worldwide, and in this fast-paced work environment, I had to put on multiple hats. I coordinated with journalists (writing media pitches and press releases), photographers, and videographers while also handling the live-streaming and live-tweeting from multiple plenaries spread across three days.

The event hashtag received over 1,200 mentions and about 5.3M views from 1 October to 8 October.

Social media

I take the content and condense it into clear and catchy snippets. From engaging tweets, punchy tweets or informative LinkedIn posts, I've got you covered.

This was only achievable after we tailored many of our scheduling practices based on data and trial-and-error methods to understand the behaviours and market. I am also familiar with tools like Google Analytics (GA4) and am responsible for tracking, analysing, and implementing these insights into data-driven practices.
